Kilpauk is a residential area, located at a distance of about 6 kilometers from Chennai’s city center. The area is situated off the High Road in the west and is adjacent to Chetpet, Egmore, Anna Nagar and Purasawalkam. The major localities of Kilpauk are Tank Road, Kellys, Ramalingapuram, Alagappa Nagar, Ayanavaram, Sylvan Lodge Colony, Ormes Road, Taylors Road and Landons Road.
Connectivity
Kilpauk is situated off the High Road which is among the most important intersection points of road traffic within the metropolitan region of the city. The High Road passes from the VOC Road and connects central regions of the city till the Mount High Road. The area is served by KMC buses and offers excellent connectivity to other areas like Kellys, Tank Road, KMC and Kilpauk Garden Colony. The Chetpet Railway Station is the nearest railway station situated to south of Kilpauk and is only 2.9 kilometers via Taylors Road. The Central Railway Station is 5.1 kilometers via High Road and the Railway Station is 3.8 kilometers from this locality via the Kilpauk Garden Road. The International Airport is 17.1 kilometers from Kilpauk via the Grand Trunk Road.
