H. K. Construction has its presence in Ahmedabad since 1965. It was founded by Late Shri Harshvadan Hathising Shah (B.E.Civil). He was born in a family of realtors, since the time of his grandfather Shri Hathising Hargovandas. Until 1965 the construction industry in Ahmedabad was an unorganized sector. H. K. Construction was the first to revolutionise the construction industry in Ahmedabad in terms of professionalism, quality, legality and integrity. It was the first to introduce the concept of row houses and high rises in the state of Gujarat. Shri Harshvadan Hathising Shah also conceptualized the idea of GIHED (Gujarat Institute of Housing and Estate Developers) of which he was the first founder member.
