Locality highlights - Varthur
Varthur is a suburb situated in the eastern periphery of Bangalore. Previously a Hobli, Varthur is now one of the wards of P and is also a part of the famous Township. It is also home to the beautiful Lake, the second largest lake in Bangalore spread over 445.8 acres of area. The famous Brahmarathotsava of Sri Chennaraya Swamy also takes place in Varthur and is attended by thousands of people from areas like Gunjur, Whitefield, Varthur, Harohalli, Madhuranagara, Muthsandra, Sorahunase, Kotur, Ramagondannahalli, Immadihalli and Balagere. Varthur is also located close to the International Tech Park of Bangalore in Whitefield. This area houses companies such as Aricent Group, Cisco Systems and M, among others.
