Locality Details
Locality highlights - Kamothe
Kamothe, also known as Mansarovar, is one of the top localities of Navi Mumbai, a sub-city of Mumbai. It is developed and maintained by CIDCO and is strategically located on the Mumbai- way which is less than an hour’s drive from Mumbai. Kamothe is one of the three nodes of Navi Mumbai, Panvel being first and Khandeshwar being second. This node adjoins the Central City District of Belapur (CBD) and is enclosed by Kharghar in its North, Kalamboli in its East, MIDC in North-East and Panvel in its South. Development in Kamothe began in the year 2000 and there are now several ready to move and under construction projects in the area, both in commercial as well as residential segments.
Connectivity
Kamothe enjoys close proximity to Kalamboli (2.3 km), Nevali (7.1 km), Valavali (8.3 km) and Link Road (4.5 km). It is a 5-minute drive from Khandeshwar Railway Station and 7 minutes from Mansarovar Railway Station. Buses starting from Panvel halt at the Kamothe bus stop and allow smooth connectivity to Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai. BEST buses are available between Kalamboli and Dadar and have a stop for Kamothe on highway. The proposed new international airport is expected to be functional by 2016 in the Kopra area of Panvel, adjoining Kamothe. In addition to the airport, there is a plan to build a sea link between Nhava Sheva and Sewri in Mumbai.
